| So this awesome mash-up set aside, I have decided to completely change my xanga and post a new entry for the first time in forever for absolutely no reason.
Here's my life as of now:
Summer has been great. Been to Maine, New York, Manitou, Chicago, all sorts of fun places like that. Lots of backpacking, water skiing, clubbing, beaches, parties and such and such. Cramming in all the kid stuff before I have to actually grow up and not make an ass of myself. But being a kid is fun, I haven't had a single down moment all summer, and life has been good.
I'm ready to go back to school, especially because of the possibility of getting a pent house in downtown Grand Rapdis. Have you seen that new building? The tall one with the huge glass windows right on the river? Well yeah, they're only going for $150 at the moment so my parents are thinking about moving in on the investment opportunity, and if they do Brad and I will be living in class for the next year. Awesome!!!
I'm excited to finally start some classes for my Anthropology major. It'll feel like I'm actually starting my career in a way even though I'm not really. Whatever.
Only downside of life right now -> it would be nice to have a second job.
Other than that, the getting is good.

Life is good. What else is new?

| Things are getting real around here. Life is pretty damnnnn good.
I had a pretty epic spring break in the mountains. Wasn't as good as last year, since we suffered in snowstorms, freezing rain, and freezing temperatures, but I did get to swing on a pretty legit vine so it was worth it.
I got to visit Brooke at Miami of Ohio, and out of all the schools I've visited people at, it is by far the best. Everyone there is beautiful and nice, and they serve minors alcohol. I mean, that's all you need in a college right? But seriously, their academics are pretty tight too, and so is the environment. It's awesome, if you have a friend there visit them, totally beats MSU, UofM, GVSU, and of course Ferris. I get to go to Wheaton later this month so we'll see how much fun a super conservative Christian school is.
Looks like this summer is bright for me. I have one of two options: 1. Get a job teaching teens how to survive for a week in the wilderness at $400 a week all summer in Virginia. 2. Go to a semester at NOLS and get my outdoor educator certification! I won't be able to be with anyone for an entire summer but I'm going to be getting a shit ton out of it, so it's all looking good.
In addition to that, I might be changing my major to philosophy. My professor really wants me to get in touch with all of the professors around the school so that I can get a full ride to Oxford in 3 years, everything paid. Housing, the trip over there, transportation, tuition, books, plus 10,000 pounds of spending money. Apparently I have an "especially analytical mind and far more potential than he's ever seen." I was pretty stoked to hear that so we'll see how that goes.
Other than that. FYL
